Every soccer parent remembers when their kid first discovered the sport. Suddenly, you’re at the sporting goods store every weekend, shopping for knee pads, cleats, new shorts, jerseys, what-have-you.
For some parents, it hasn’t happened yet. But give it time. At some point, your little one will come to you asking to join the school team, or to TiVo the FIFA World Cup.
And they’ll want soccer posters. Oh, how they’ll want soccer posters.
But you’ll know where to go.
At Soccer Stuff ‘N More, we’ve got soccer posters by the score. We’ve got soccer posters with all the big stars: David Beckham, Thierry Henry, Mia Hamm, Pele and more. When it’s time to buy soccer posters, we’re your best source.
Here are just a few of the soccer posters in our inventory.
Soccer Poster #1: David Beckham. Currently the captain of the Los Angeles Galaxy MLS team, Beckham came to the United States in 2007 after a stellar career in Europe. After signing with Manchester United in 1992 (when he was only 17), Becks helped his team win the Premier League title six times. After that, he spent four years with Real Madrid – soccer’s version of the Lakers or the Yankees. When he joined the LA Galaxy, he became the highest paid MLS player in history.
Soccer Poster #2: Lionel Messi. Considered a successor to FIFA’s “Player of the Century” Diego Maradona, Messi plays for both the Argentine national team and FC Barcelona. He began playing at just five years old, when he joined a club his father coached. When he scored his first goal for FC Barcelona in 2005, he became the youngest player ever to score in a La Liga (Spain’s pro soccer league) game.
Soccer Poster #3: A.C. Milan. In competitions spanning Europe and the world, A.C. Milan have won 18 titles, more than any other soccer club in the world. In Europe, they are second only to Real Madrid in UEFA Champions’ League cups. It’s safe to say A.C. Milan is one of the world’s best soccer teams.
Soccer Poster #4: Mia Hamm. A native of Selma, Alabama, Mia Hamm is one of the most famous soccer players in the United States. During her years as a forward for the United States women’s national soccer team, she scored more international goals than any other player in the sport’s history. The first two years that FIFA gave its World Player of the Year award, she won it.
Soccer Poster #5: Pele. Rated by most fans of the sport as the best player of all time, Pelé is hailed by his fellow Brazilians as a national hero, and was declared a national treasure by the Brazilian government. He began playing at 16, and won his first World Cup just a year later.
